Mar. 6th & 7th features Singer and Instrumentalist Anaëlle Trumka touring from Paris.

Night 1 Wednesday is a Duo with Alex Johnstone from Rapidgrass

Night 2 Thursday: is. trio with David Lawrence (LAPOMPE/The Spoonful) & Charles Parker Mertens on Bass (Rapidgrass/Tierro Band)

More about Anaëlle Trumka:

First, at the conservatory (violin - singing/choir), and then in art schools (ESAL & Gobelins), she develops her artist universe with multiple facets very early on, ranging from traditional French music to American music. Her journey on different artistic paths allows her to bring a relevant coherence to the musical discourse and choices she defends today.

After her music studies, she ventures into traditional styles as a self-taught musician: Bluegrass and Oldtime, New Orleans… leaving behind her classical background. She nurtures her fascination by experimenting with the guitar, mandolin, Clawhammer banjo… in order to understand the melodic, harmonic and rhythmic roles and aspects that make up these musics.

At the same time, Anaëlle develops her style and vocal identity in Paris, through jazz. From Django to Ella Fitzgerald, passing through Piaf's greatest classics, she is now one of the few French singers to offer a powerful vocabulary of scat, as well as a precise intention.

After performing on American soil, on jazz manouche stages (Festival Django Reinhardt at Fontaineblau, or in Texas…) and bluegrass/oldtime stages (La Roche Bluegrass Festival, France…), she continues to live through jazz in Paris in various jazz, manouche, and French song projects.

As a singer, compositor and instrumentalist, she co-founded "Dear John » band, originals inspired of bluegrass, in 2017.

In 2020, she launched "Now Project" (Jazz Manouche).

In 2022, she formed a French song duo with Wilfried Touati (accordion)

and in 2023 she released her first EP of compositions "Pull Yourself Together ».
